Analysis of Import and Export Data of PVC Paste Resin in China from January to July

According to the latest statistics from customs, in July 2023, China imported 7000 tons of PVC paste resin, an increase of 18.2% month on month and 40.8% year on year; Exports of 14000 tons in the same month increased by 6.2% month on month and decreased by 1.7% year-on-year. From January to July 2023, China imported a total of 37000 tons of PVC paste resin, a decrease of 13.7% compared to the same period last year; Accumulated exports of 91000 tons, an increase of 50% compared to the same period last year.

According to the statistics of import sources, from January to July 2023, China's PVC paste resins mainly came from Taiwan, China, Thailand and Germany, accounting for 36.3%, 20.4% and 15.0% respectively. According to export destination statistics, currently the main products are sold to Russia, India, and Pakistan, with export volume accounting for 57.1%, 14.1%, and 4.2%, respectively.

The monthly export volume of PVC paste resin in China remains relatively high, especially in Russia, Brazil and other places, where the demand for PVC paste resin has recently increased. From the current export contracts of enterprises, it can be seen that China's paste resin exports will still maintain a good state in the next two months.

From the perspective of the domestic market, starting from early July, due to centralized maintenance by domestic production enterprises, the supply and demand relationship in the PVC paste resin market has improved, and prices have continued to rise, with a cumulative increase of over 1000 yuan/ton. However, since mid August, the maintenance has been completed one after another, and the operating rate of PVC paste resin has increased. The market supply and demand are stable, and it is difficult for the market to continue to rise in the later stage.
