China's Carbon Black Export Volume Decreased in March

According to customs data, the import volume of carbon black in March 2023 was 19314.3 tons; A year-on-year increase of 110.4%. The month on month decrease was 5%. The main import sources are Russia (accounting for 72.2%), South Korea (accounting for 4.7%), Belgium (accounting for 4.5%), and so on. The top three regions in terms of import volume are Shandong Province (58.8%), Jiangsu Province (9.4%), and Anhui Province (6.8%).

According to data statistics, the total import volume of carbon black from January to March was 58400 tons, an increase of 141.3% compared to the same period last year. Among them, the number of imports from Russia has increased significantly, accounting for the highest proportion, and trade cooperation between China and Russia is constantly advancing.

The export volume of carbon black in March 2023 was 44564 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 20%; The month on month decrease was 6.8%. The main exporting countries are Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, etc. Among them, 13102 tons were exported to Thailand (29%), Vietnam (22%), and Indonesia (8%). The main export provinces and cities are Shandong Province (38.9%), Hebei Province (14.2%), and Shanghai City (10.4%).

According to data statistics, the total export volume of carbon black from January to March was 143000 tons, a decrease of 4% compared to the same period last year. Export prices have increased, but quantity has decreased.

The average import price of three carbon black products in 2023 was 1846.9 US dollars per ton, a decrease of 5.9 US dollars per ton compared to the previous month. Based on the March RMB USD exchange rate of 6.9, the total decrease was 41 yuan per ton. Compared to the same period last year, it decreased by $1549.2 per ton, equivalent to a decrease of RMB 10689.6 per ton.

The average export price of carbon black in March 2023 was 1744.5 US dollars per ton, an increase of 109.4 US dollars per ton compared to the previous month. Based on the RMB USD exchange rate of 6.9 in March, the total increase was 755 yuan per ton. Compared to the same period last year, it increased by 146.6 US dollars per ton, equivalent to an increase of 1011 RMB per ton.
